With some exciting developments happening in the RTO sector, 2023 is shaping up to be another great year for the MTA.
The MTA has seen an increase in school students enrolled in a Certificate II in Automotive Servicing Technology (AUR20520) for 2023
90 students have already been tested and enrolled in a Certificate II in Automotive Servicing Technology Course (AUR20520) for 2023.
This ultimately increases the number of work-ready, full-time and school-based apprentices available to the industry.
The MTA delivers the Certificate II in Automotive Servicing (AUR20520) over 12 months which allows students to enter the industry under a school-based apprenticeship or full-time apprenticeship with prior knowledge.
New forklift delivered to the MTA Training Centre
A brand-new forklift has been delivered to the MTA’s Automotive Skills and Careers Centre, allowing for us to fill more Forklift training classes going into 2023.
It is essential to ensure that everyone operating a forklift in your business has a valid license; this will provide a safe working environment and prevent potential costly fines for your business.
270 apprentices have officially completed the Hybrid and Battery Electrical Vehicle Courses
The MTA has seen 270 apprentices complete the Hybrid and Battery Electrical Vehicle Course’s. With advances in automotive technology fast-approaching, it is essential for the industry to ensure their workshops and staff are preparing for the future of automotive.
From next year, the safety units from this course will be included in apprentice training, through the Blended Training Model, as a value-added benefit to new apprentices undertaking certain qualifications. More information to come!
