Mod of the Month: Zac's Transformed 2000 Subaru Forester GT Journey

Public news

We are delighted to present Zac as our Mod of the Month, a third-year apprentice currently pursuing a Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology (AUR32420). From an early age, Zac's life revolved around cars. "Growing up in a family where my brother was a massive revhead, I began working on cars at the age of seven."

In his younger days, Zac ran pubs. However, seeking a more balanced work schedule, he decided to pursue his long-standing love for cars. Now in the closing stages of his third year, Zac's enthusiasm for his career path has only grown stronger. The training process has been both rewarding and entertaining for him, thanks to the experienced trainers and the camaraderie with fellow apprentices.

"Working with like-minded people from different shops gives me the opportunity to constantly bounce ideas with them." The support and creative atmosphere have created a space for Zac to develop and succeed in his work.

As Zac looks into the future, his ambition is to delve into performance tuning and eventually open his own shop.

Zac's love for his own car, a unique Forester, sets him apart from the crowd. While others might opt for more common vehicles, Zac appreciates the subtle yet unique features that make his Forester stand out. "Given that it's a fast Japanese car, I felt it would be fitting to name it "Yokai" after a Japanese demon. Take a look at my license plate."

Zac has made several modifications to his 2000 Subaru Forester GT over the years. These include enhancements to the intake, intercooler, turbo, exhaust, suspension, rims, and audio system. A full list of the modifications he has made to his car can be seen below:
