Trackside Breakfast – VALO Adelaide 500

Public news

The MTA recently hosted a trackside breakfast at the VALO Adelaide 500 to celebrate the return of the Supercars. The key message that morning was that the automotive industry and their supportive counterparts are critical to South Australia’s success.

The Premier emphasised that the best way to address the skills crisis affecting our state (and country) is by enhancing the talents of South Australians; it was fanastic to be trackside to hear about future directions in the automotive industry.

The MTA is proactively tackling the automotive skills gap by interacting with students in schools and helping them understand the employment prospects available in the automotive sector through our intro-to-auto program.

MTA members were joined by a range of special guests, including Premier Peter Malinauskas, Leader of the Opposition David Speirs MP, industry association colleagues and leaders from across the automotive industry.

It was fantastic to be able to come together and celebrate the critical role we play in keeping SA moving and recognise the tireless work of automotive businesses.

Thank you to our platinum sponsor Mas National and Kara Prichard, State Manager South Australia at MAS National, for presenting at the event.

We also extend our gratitude to Paradise Mazda (gold sponsor), North East Mitsubishi and Normet (bronze sponsors) for their support, and to all who attended the event!
